As I sat at my desk this morning, I looked outside at the beautiful snowfall we received last night, and got that familiar feeling that Christmas was just around the corner...and then reality sunk in and I realized that Santa had come down the chimney about 3 weeks ago :( Unfortunately, we Wisconsinites (I guess that's what we call ourselves, definitely NOT Cheeseheads--that's for all the rest of America who can't remember anything else about Wisconsin), but any who, we had a dry, warm(er) Christmas. Definitely a disappointment. All I ask for each year is a white Christmas--after that, the snow can go away, cause then I have to walk to class in it, and it totally throws off my fashion groove! So, in the spirit of a late Christmas, I decided to throw a little holiday red into the mix today! Normally I would wear black with this blazer, but I like the bright/dark contrast, especially with the snow in the background!
Gap long-sleeved t-shirt, Ben Zuckerman coat, AE jeans, Simply Vera boots, Jewelry: watch (Fossil), necklaces (Ann Taylor, J Crew)
**And a little background on the coat, I found this at a vintage store here in East Lansing called Scavenger Hunt. I liked it, so I bought it, not knowing anything about it. When I got home, I noticed the tags on the inside, one saying 'Ben Zuckerman' and the other 'Saks Fifth Avenue'. So I enlisted my best googling skills and discovered that Zuckerman was a designer starting in the 1920s, all the way until the late 60s, who specialized in women's suits and coats (
