Greatness before 9 AM

I've been on a roll waking up (without an alarm) at 8AM this week, which I usually consider early, especially since I don't go to bed till at least 2AM.  So today, I woke up, tried to fall back asleep to no avail, and finally decided to give up and embrace the day.  I felt coffee was a necessity (it is most mornings) and made my new Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee flavor in my Keurig.  I am in love with this machine--It's so simple to use and makes just the right amount of coffee, and it tastes delicious every time!  And to fit in perfectly with my nice hot cup of coffee, my favorite cheesy Lifetime movie was on this morning.  I don't think anything greater could happen before 9AM!

Yes, I have an animal print Mickey Mouse coffee mug--be jealous :)

Needless to say, this set me up for a great afternoon, and some more fun going through my closet.  I'm kind of sick of wearing jeans for the moment, so I decided to switch it up and go with a dress today.  Dresses always put me in a good mood--maybe because I associate them with springtime and nice weather--it must be my way of pulling myself out of this winter weather gloominess :)  I bought this dress on extreme sale at Kohls a few years ago.  It came with this big, ugly belt, but I immediately ditched that and usually just wear it by itself or, in the case of 30° weather, with a little "reinforcement" for warmth!  The cardigan is from Urban Outfitters, and (I know this is sad that I remember this), but I know I paid full price for this (I think $50).  But honestly, I get so much use out of it, it doesn't even bother me--even though you may not think of yellow as a neutral color, it kind of is.  It goes great with anything from black, brown, purple, red...I've even mixed this with turquoise, just for a little contrast.  And I LOVE the back design--a little peek-a-boo lace design is always a nice surprise!

Cardigan: Urban Outfitters
Dress: Elle from Kohls
Belt: Banana Republic
Tights: Steven Madden
Boots: Coach
Cuff: Ann Taylor

Another one of my "vintage" finds--bought this wood-framed mirror from our local consignment store for $10.  For those of you who know how much mirrors usually cost, you'll know how good of a deal this was!

Happy "Hump" Day Everyone!
