"Happy Valentine's Day No One"

Liz Lemon is my idol!

Let me first start off: I am NOT a big fan of Valentine's Day.  I think it's a holiday created by the greeting card companies and is just a day that makes you remember that you should tell the people you love that you love them...where I'm a firm believer that you should do this almost every day.  If you have to be reminded by all the stores that have been puked on with red, pink and white and more chocolate than you could possibly imagine, maybe you should work on that the other 364 days a year.  Oh, and I'm also not a fan of chocolate--maybe I'd feel a little different about the holiday if I did :)

Now, don't get me wrong, I still like the "general" idea of Valentine's Day.  Ever since Andy and I have been dating, we've abided by a strict "no buying anything" rule--instead we've either made things for each other (gotta love homemade crayon cards!) or just enjoyed going out to eat or ordering takeout--followed by cuddling up watching a slasher movie.  I would rather just spend time together than partake in any of the typical Valentine's Day crap.

Since my Valentine's Day last year was....well...interesting to say the least, I wasn't expecting much for this year.  But waking up to a card as cute as this, I couldn't help but smile, and actually try and enjoy this day!
For my "V-Day" outfit today, I apparently decided to salute Gap (not on purpose tho!).  It's been struggling lately, with a lot of stores closing--so with my new found ability to shop, I may try to single handedly save the company!

Shirt: Gap
Sweater: Gap
Jeans: Gap
Boots: Gap
Earrings: Etsy.com
Bracelet: Francesca's Collections
Watch: Fossil

Yea--Snow!

I received these earrings as a gift from my equally, if not more stylish friend Heather.  It's because of her that I've discovered Etsy.com and all the wonderful things it has to offer!

So Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  I hope however you celebrate it or whoever you celebrate it with, you felt loved!
